Our History
Growth and key Milestones
Strewreib
is Founded
After years of experience with DAT/Sabena, Base Airlines/British Airways, and international aviation projects across Europe, Aruba, the Middle East, and Africa, Jan Bierwerts founded Strewreib Aviation Services in 2002. The name “Strewreib”, his family name spelled backward honours his father, whose belief and support made the company’s beginnings possible.
First
Growth
The company expanded from a one-person operation into a team of more than 10 dedicated aviation professionals. Leading lessors began seeking our support, marking the start of Strewreib’s growing role in the global leasing industry.
Camo
Approval
Strewreib became the first non-airline organisation in Belgium to obtain a CAMO approval (BE-MG-21). This certification strengthened our role
as an independent airworthiness management provider.
Expansion into the
Wide Body Market
After years of specialising in the regional segment (Fokker, Embraer, Airbus A320, Boeing 737), Strewreib entered the widebody market. We managed the return of our first Boeing 747-400 from Air China and delivered our first Airbus A330 aircraft to TAM in Brazil, an important step in broadening our technical and transition expertise.
Acquiqition of
LG Aviation
Strewreib acquired LG Aviation, a logistics provider with specialised storage facilities and in-depth expertise in the spare parts market. Through this acquisition, we strengthened our ability to support clients with comprehensive aviation logistics and parts-related services.
Relocation to
New Facilities
We moved into our new modern headquarters, featuring upgraded offices, dedicated training rooms, records storage areas, and a state-of-the-art warehouse, expanding our capacity to serve clients efficiently and professionally.
20 Years of Strewreib Aviation Services
Strewreib celebrated its 20th anniversary together with a dedicated global team. Earlier that year, we received our Belgian Part-CAMO approval from the BCAA, an important milestone reflecting two decades of growth, expertise, and trusted service to the aviation industry.
The Future...
The future looks bright for Strewreib Aviation Services. We continue to grow, train, and evolve — investing daily in our people, our capabilities, and the technologies that will shape tomorrow’s aviation landscape.
